Amid a sea of cowboy hats at the Professional Bull Riders season opener in New York City this weekend was a surprising celebrity fan.

“I love this sport,” Martha Stewart told the crowd at Madison Square Garden on Sunday. “I can’t believe they can stay on there for eight seconds.”

Stewart wasn’t the only famous supporter in attendance, either.

At the VIP kickoff party Friday night, Stephen Baldwin told guests that he’s enjoyed the sport since he starred with Luke Perry in the 1994 bull riding movie, 8 Seconds. (Ty Murray was his stunt double!)

Bestselling author Nicholas Sparks was also in attendance to debut a special edition book cover – featuring PBR star Jory Markiss – of his new novel, The Longest Ride, about a Professional Bull Rider.

And on Saturday, PBR entertainer Flint Rasmussen joked that “mayhem” was watching the action from behind the chutes – in the form of Law & Order: Special Victims Unit star and Allstate commercial actor Dean Winters.
