Marilyn Manson Legal Woes Mount
A security guard is suing shock rocker Marilyn Manson, seeking more than $75,000 for claims including emotional distress, the Associated Press reported. David M. Diaz was working as a security guard for Manson’s show at the Orpheum Theatre in Minneapolis in October 2000, when the wolf-eyed singer allegedly grabbed Diaz’s head and pressed it against Manson’s crotch, gyrating suggestively. A representative for Manson could not be reached for comment, the AP reported. The civil suit, filed in federal court in Minneapolis, reportedly also names Manson’s touring company, Jimmy’s Touring Inc., and Vivendi Universal. The lawsuit comes as Manson faces criminal charges for an alleged incident at an Ozzfest concert in July, SonicNet reported. In that incident, the guard accused Manson of spitting on him before Manson allegedly rubbed his crotch against the guard’s head. The singer had pleaded not guilty to those charges.
