Berliner/AB Images Classic Mariah Carey is back in her new anthem about heartbreak and heartache, titled “Infinity.” The pop diva released her new song as a lyric video via her VEVO channel on Sunday. “Infinity” plays as an upbeat breakup ballad, where she squashes the gentleman in question for “actin’ so corny like Fritos.” The subject of her disdain? Perhaps it’s soon-to-be ex-husband Nick Cannon. Carey, 46, and the America’s Got Talent host, 34, filed for divorce in December after six years of marriage. “Close the door/Lose the key/Leave my heart on the mat for me,” croons Carey on the track’s chorus. Other lyrics include: “Is it lack of ice got you so cold?/Have you ever felt this on your own?/Why you tryin’ to play like you’re so grown/Everything you own boy you still owe.” Carey and Cannon were married in a secret wedding in 2008 after dating for six weeks. The former couple’s August 2014 split quickly grew contentious, after Carey drew headlines for arriving hours late for the 2014 Rockefeller Center Christmas tree taping in December because she was on the phone dealing with the couple’s divorce. Despite the heated proceedings, Cannon and Carey have been putting family first for their twins – son Moroccan and daughter Monroe, 4 this week – by taking them on an Easter egg hunt in New York City earlier this month. “Infinity” will be featured on the singer’s upcoming May 18 album Mariah Carey #1 to Infinity, coinciding with her upcoming residency at The Colosseum at Caesars Palace in Las Vegas.
