It’s back to family life for Maria Shriver.

After spending time with Oprah Winfrey in Chicago earlier this week, Maria Shriver returned to Los Angeles, joining two of her children for lunch Wednesday.

At Taiko sushi restaurant in Brentwood, Shriver – who is separated from husband Arnold Schwarzenegger amid a love-child scandal – met with her daughter Katherine, 21, and youngest son Christopher, 13, for miso soup, salad and rolls.

“She looked relaxed but was a bit pre-occupied during lunch with phone calls and she barely touched her food,” says an onlooker. “She just seemed happy to spend time with her kids over lunch. Their conversation was calm and quiet. They were all smiling and seemed relaxed.”

After lunch, Shriver drove Christopher back to his school.
