Faizan Patel says he was forced to go on a solo honeymoon through Italy after his wife Sana reportedly misplaced her passport – and he documented the entire ordeal on Twitter.

The trouble began on Aug. 4.

“Just two days before our trip, my wife’s passport goes missing!” Patel, 29, tweeted.

By the next day, the passport still had not been found.

“Please let it be a good prank,” shared Patel, an Indian lifestyle and product photographer.

On the day of the departure, Patel’s wife’s still had not found her passport.

“Seems like I am travelling alone tonight via @TurkishAirlines,” he tweeted. “My wife has her passport misplaced. Fingers crossed that we find it soon.”

Instead of letting the unfortunate situation ruin his trip, Patel began traveling with a photo of his wife until she could join him in person.

Patel’s tweets got the attention of India’s Minister of External Affairs Sushma Swaraj, who promised she would help Sana get to him as soon as possible.

“Ask your wife to contact me,” she tweeted. “I will ensure that she is with you on the next seat.”

Swaraj delivered on her promise, saying that Patel’s wife would receive her passport the next day.

However, the couple could not unite until Sana received the visa required to travel, so Patel continued on the trip without her.

On Friday, Sana arrived in Italy, and the honeymooners were finally able to enjoy their romantic trip together.

Congrats to the couple on getting to enjoy their #HoneymoonWithHoney at last!
