'One Word of Kindness, It Can Save Me': Madonna Thanks Fans Amid Custody Battle with Guy Ritchie
'One word of kindness it can save me,' the queen of pop wrote on Instagram
Madonna‘s fans stick by the queen of pop through thick and thin.
On Saturday, Madonna posted a picture of a letter from her fans on Instagram, writing, “Thanks soooooo much for this! It means a lot to me! One word of kindness it can save me!”
The letter, which is signed “Your Rebel Hearts” after Madonna’s current Rebel Heart world tour, expresses the fans’ unconditional support for the “Like a Prayer” singer.
“We’re crying with you, but we know you will get through this as you always do. You were born as a lion, and lived as a lion,” part of the letter reads. “We just want you to know that our love for you rescues us every single day, and we hope ours could do the same.”
Earlier on Saturday, Madonna posted a sweet photo of her children David, 9, and Mercy, 10, with the caption, “The lord works in mysterious ways.”
Madonna is currently in the midst of an international custody battle with ex-husband Guy Ritchie over their 15-year-old son Rocco.
Rocco decided to go live with Ritchie in the U.K. because he grew bored of tagging along on his mom’s tour, a Ritchie source previously told PEOPLE. After he didn’t return to the U.S. for the holidays, Madonna reportedly appealed in late December to a New York City judge, who ordered Rocco to return to N.Y.C.
However, a source close to the singer says Rocco still has yet to return home and allege he has missed school since moving in with Ritchie. A friend of the former couple also claimed that the custody spat was ignited by a power struggle between Madonna and Ritchie.
The exes are due in court for a second hearing in N.Y.C. on Feb. 3.
