Attention, Material Girls: Bid on Madonna's Coolest Clothes! (PHOTOS)
'MATERIAL GIRL' VIDEO DRESS
If you ever wished you could don the pink gown and fur stole Madonna wore in the 1985 "Material Girl" video, well, now's your chance. The look is just one of many items up for bid at Julien's in Beverly Hills this weekend as part of the Icons amp Idols of Rock 'n' Roll auction. Auctioneers expect this ensemble could go for anywhere from $20,000 to $60,000.
More than 30 period pieces from 1996's Evita are available in the auction, including this satin gown with beaded detail, worn during the film's ballroom dancing scene (and later, for a Vogue shoot). Expected take? $6,000.
1972 JR. HIGH YEARBOOK
Handwritten lyrics, nude prints and an MTV award are among the relics up for auction, as is the singer's 1971-72 junior high yearbook, which could go for anywhere between $800 and $1,200.
ROCKFORD PEACHES UNIFORM
Be all for one and one for all in Madonna's Rockford Peaches uniform, which she wore as Mae Mordabito in 1992's A League of Their Own. The one-piece will likely fetch $3,000 to $5,000.
Go inside the Material Girl's head – or at least her jam-packed 1988 calendar – with her day planner, expected to earn between $2,000 and $4,000.
The pièce de résistance is the wedding gown Madonna wore to marry Sean Penn in 1985, which could fetch from $40,000 to $60,000 (bidding starts at $20,000). The strapless creation was made by Marlene Stewart, who designed costumes for the singer in the '80s. The tulle gown is covered with handmade ombré flowers and gold bullion trimming, plus gold beads and simulated pearls.
