Madonna pulled a Beyoncé! Well, sort of.

Not even a week after demos leaked from her upcoming LP, Rebel Heart, Madonna surprised fans by releasing six new songs overnight on Friday, much like Beyoncé did with her self-titled 2013 effort.

“X-mas is coming early! Pre order my album and download 6 tracks! Happy Holidays!” the pop icon, 56, wrote on Instagram in a post of the album cover.

The megastar teamed up with hit-makers including producer and OneRepublic frontman Ryan Tedder, Diplo and even Kanye West on the first songs off the album. And Nicki Minaj even makes an appearance, offering one of her best verses of the year on “Bitch I’m Madonna.”

“Everybody’s riffing off each other,” Madonna recently told Interview of her creative process in the studio. “Other people’s art inspires you. I would be nothing without other people’s art.”

Other people who inspire the singer? Her kids.

“Stuff they say. Like, my son came to the studio the other day and said he didn’t want to go home. I said, ‘No, you have to go home; it’s time for bed,’ ” Madonna told the magazine. “And he said, ‘Mom, I feel like I’m isolated from your heart.’ I was like, ‘Oh, that’s a good line. I have to use that.’ ”

Rebel Heart – Madonna’s 13th studio effort – is expected out in full March 10.
