Madonna will perform six additional British concerts to her the Drowned World Tour schedule after all 16,000 tickets for what was to be her only London appearance sold out within 15 minutes after they went on sale Thursday, reports Reuters. In addition to her originally scheduled 4th of July concert, she will perform July 5, 7, 9, 10 and 12. Ticket prices range from $65-$130. The tour kicks off in Germany June 5 and wraps in L.A. Sept. 9. Meanwhile, in Cairo on Wednesday night, angry fans of a local rock star expressed their irritation at Sting, 49, who — instead of a local rock hero named Hakim — took to the concert stage in front of the Giza Pyramids. Reuters reports that Hakim came on the set an protested Sting’s appearance, saying it was his turn to sing. “Whoever is willing to accept the insult of an Egyptian in Egypt can stay. Goodbye!” Hakim was quoted as saying. The concert then ground to a halt, as fans shouted the name “Hakim!” Organizers finally explained that Hakim had failed to turn up on time for his allotted slot, which got the crowd to calm down. It also ended up cheering Sting.
