'Loca' for Ricky Martin

Hundreds of screaming, crying, singing fans flocked to a record store at the NorthPark Center in Dallas, Texas, where singing sensation Ricky Martin, 27, held a two-hour autograph session Saturday. Fans (both male and female) began to line up in the wee hours of the morning and stood outside all day in 90-degree heat. “Livin’ la Vida Loca,” the first single from the Puerto Rican sensation’s new English-language album “Ricky Martin,” is at the top of the charts. The former member of Menudo is attracting throngs wherever he goes. Two weeks ago the enthusiastic crowd that gathered to see him at a Manhattan record store outnumbered the “Star Wars” fans lined up across the street for an advance screening of “The Phantom Menace.”
