Photo Diary: Lindsey Vonn Parties in D.C.!
GETTING TO WORK
No rest for the weary – or even the injured! Skier Lindsey Vonn squeezes in a morning workout before her big Saturday in D.C.
DRESS TO IMPRESS
So many choices! Vonn weighs her dress and shoe options for Saturday night's White House Correspondents' Dinner (she was a guest of PEOPLE), and makes us quite jealous in the process.
GOING FOR THE GOLD
We spot the winner! Two finalists vie for the title of best dress – click here to see which gown Vonn chose (hint: It's vintage Oscar de la Renta).
"Charles Strahan taming my mane … and making funny faces too," Vonn writes of this shot with her hairstylist, who gave her a gorgeous side-part and waves for the event.
RIDING IN STYLE
And they're off! Vonn and her date for the evening, designer Cynthia Rowley, head to the dinner with drinks in hand.
HOST WITH THE MOST
The lucky lady snaps a coveted selfie with the evening's host, Community and The Soup's Joel McHale, who kept the crowd laughing with his one-liners.
"I tried to pose like Sofia but I failed," Vonn says of her shot with the Modern Family stunner. (Personally, we think they both look amazing.)
She's meeting the whole cast! Vonn finds herself snapping another selfie, this time with Modern Family's dapper Eric Stonestreet.
Say cheese! Vonn stops for a selfie with Today's Matt Lauer, whom she worked with while covering the Sochi Olympics for NBC.
The benefits of traveling with a designer. "Dress malfunction!" Vonn writes. "Cynthia to the rescue! Sewing kit and permanent marker and we're good."
DRINK IT IN
Also good: A boost of energy before the after-parties, which Vonn and Rowley happily sip before heading back out to continue celebrating.
"I made a great edit to Cynthia's dress," Vonn jokes of Rowley losing a layer of fringe on her skirt. "She's now ready for the after-party!"
