Liam Hemsworth Retreats to Australia as Miley Cyrus Breakup Rumors Swirl

The actor, 23, relaxed with friends as his relationship continues to make headlines

There’s no drama Down Under.

Following speculation of a possible split between Miley Cyrus and Liam Hemsworth, the Hunger Games actor was photographed with friends in Australia on Saturday.

In the photos, Hemsworth is seen enjoying a beverage and hanging out.

A source recently told PEOPLE that Hemsworth, 23, flew home on March 1 so the engaged couple “could have a break,” adding, “It doesn’t mean that they have split. Miley says they are still together.”

Meanwhile, recently Cyrus was photographed leaving an L.A. recording studio without her engagement ring.

But while a source close to Cyrus says that “Miley and Liam have had some problems that they are working through,” the person adds that Hemsworth’s trip to Australia was planned.

However, the source says, “[He] doesn’t have a return date to Los Angeles yet.”
