An alternative set of lyrics to John Lennon’s enigmatic song “I Am the Walrus” — handwritten by Lennon — is the centerpiece of a collection of Beatles memorabilia that will be offered at an auction at Christie’s London in September. The lyrics differ slightly from those sung on the Beatles’s “Magical Mystery Tour” album, released in 1967. The line in the recording about the “crabalocker fishwife pornographic priestess,” for example, appears as “pornographic policeman.” The lyrics are expected to fetch about $150,000.
