We’d heard some rumors that Leighton Meester could sing, and now it appears they’re true: In a collaboration with musician Dana Williams, the former Gossip Girl star sings a beautiful, lilting cover of Fleetwood Mac’s “Dreams.”

In the video, shot in February by Williams’s sister Davida, Meester plays guitar and sings backup vocals on a sensitive cover of Mac’s 1977 hit, before taking the song’s second verse herself.

Meester, who married The O.C.‘s Adam Brody in February, also showed off her pipes in 2010’s Country Strong, playing a pageant queen with musical aspirations. A year earlier, she sang backup on Cobra Starship’s top-10 hit "Good Girls Go Bad."

The real Fleetwood Mac is planning a reunion tour in fall 2014, with Christine McVie rejoining the band for the first time since 1998.
