The husband of TV personality and producer Leeza Gibbons has filed for a legal separation from his wife after 14 years of marriage.

Stephen Meadows, 54, cites irreconcilable differences as the reason behind the split, according to court papers filed Monday in Los Angeles Superior Court. The couple, who tied the knot on Feb. 14, 1991, have been separated since Jan. 28.

Meadows, an actor and architect, is seeking joint custody of the couple’s sons, Troy, 12 and Nathan, 7. He is not seeking spousal support from Gibbons, according to Meadows’s attorney, Rosaline Zukerman.

Zukerman says Meadows “does love her and he hopes this is going to work out.”

Gibbons, 47, was the host of Entertainment Tonight for a decade, and also had her own daytime talk show, Leeza, from 1993 to 2000. She also has a daughter from a previous marriage.
