Sheryl Sandberg‘s hot-selling feminist manifesto Lean In encouraged women everywhere to embrace work, will and leadership. But now, the author has launched a new initiative to target the other half of the gender equation – the men.
The Facebook COO’s latest project, a partnership with the NBA, is titled #LeanInTogether, a social campaign designed to encourage men to join the push for gender equality both at home and in the workplace.
The social media campaign has already hooked celebrities across the board. Actors, politicians, athletes and more have passed on the message on Instagram, Facebook and Twitter, posting pictures that show men taking out the trash, walking with their kids or hugging their loved ones.
Beyoncé posted a motivational message to her Facebook page, thanking all of the men who know that “girls run the world.”
And Gwyneth Paltrow took advantage of Throwback Thursday with a sweet #tbt of the actress with her father, the late Bruce Paltrow.
