Leah Remini‘s husband is speaking out in support of her 20/20 interview about Scientology.

Angelo Pagan tweeted Friday night, “Free at last free at last thank god almighty… ” in response to a tweet from a fan: “I am so grateful you all got out for [daughter] Sofia’s sake and for you all.”

Pagan responded to another fan who tweeted, “@LeahRemini has star status. Don’t see what she could gain about ‘lying’ about them. I can see what they could lose by her exposing them.”

He wrote on Friday, “Just makes to much sense doesn’t it Angela? We need more like you !”

On Thursday, Pagan also shared a post on Instagram, saying he was “proud” of Remini.

Pagan’s messages of support for Remini were echoed by actress Holly Robinson Peete, who tweeted, “Proud of you.”

“The decision to leave is your giving up everything you’ve worked for your whole life,” Remini, 45, said on 20/20. “I feel that people need to understand this has been my whole life.”

In that same interview, Remini claimed Scientology asked her to invite Jennifer Lopez, a longtime friend, to Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes‘ 2006 wedding.

“They were trying to extract me,” Remini said of the wedding on 20/20. “I can only assume because they wanted to make Jennifer a Scientologist. Maybe I was barring that road for them.”

Holmes said in a statement provided to PEOPLE by her publicist, “I regret having upset Leah in the past, and wish her only the best in the future.”

A Scientology spokesperson denounced Remini’s claims about the wedding, telling ABC News: “Every claim Miss Remini has made is not only untrue but ridiculous and stupid.”

Remini said on 20/20 that she wants to enlighten for others what it’s like to be inside “the mindset” of Scientology.

“As time goes on, you start to lose touch with the real world,” she said in the interview. “The mindset becomes us against them.”
