A day after Lauren Scruggs was seen laughing and joking with her family, the 911 call of her horrific accident was released.

Scruggs, the model who lost her left eye and a hand when she walked into a plane’s propeller, can be heard moaning in the dramatic and disturbing call.

In the recording, posted Friday on, two separate people speak with emergency services while they await the arrival of an ambulance to help Scruggs.

“I think it cut her hand off,” an unidentified woman says on the phone. “She’s on the ground.”

Later the woman hands the phone to a man, who tells the operator that Scruggs is conscious and breathing. The operator urges them to keep her calm and not move her.

The call was placed at 8:48 p.m. on Dec. 3, and the emergency crew and ambulance arrived at the airport just north of Dallas shortly after 8:54 p.m.
