Lauren Hill, the 19-year-old college athlete who suffers from an inoperable tumor, has received an honor that is usually only reserved for Olympians: being featured on a Wheaties box.

On Wednesday, Hill posted a photo of herself grinning with her very own Wheaties box on her Layup 4 Lauren Facebook page, which supports the non-profit organization The Cure Starts Now.

Hill, who is not expected to live past December, lived out her lifelong wish Nov. 2 by playing in a basketball game for her school, Mount St. Joseph University. The NCAA granted that wish, moving up the game by two weeks so that Hill could participate.

The young player stunned the crowd when merely seventeen seconds into the game against Hiram College, she did a left-handed layup.

After the game, Hill shared her hopes with Fox Sports Ohio saying, “Even though I might not be here – I might not be around when it comes – I think the cure for cancer is coming.”
