Lauren Conrad and William Tell: Their Road to the Altar
The fashion designer will walk down the aisle on Saturday, a source tells PEOPLE
From Laguna Beach to The Hills, Lauren Conrad has been through her share of public drama and heartbreak.
But on Saturday, the California girl will finally get her own happy ending when she marries William Tell, whom she met on a Valentine’s Day blind date set up by mutual friends in 2012.
Tell, a former Something Corporate guitarist who also hails from Orange County, is now a lawyer who understands her world, she told Marie Claire last summer.
“It’s the first time I’m with someone and I’m not explaining things,” said the former reality star, 28, who previously dated Kyle Howard and Brody Jenner. “He also has experience in the entertainment industry, so he understands a lot of things that people don’t always get.”
With busy schedules, the couple kept their romance going by making time for low-key date nights and dinner parties with friends.
“We haven’t been to a club together in a very, very long time. If ever,” she told PEOPLE earlier this year. “We probably entertain more than we go out, to be honest.”
Last October, Tell popped the question with a simple solitaire ring he picked out on his own. “He didn’t even ask my friends, which was a bold move,” she told Cosmopolitan. “He said, ‘I know you, and I know what you like.’ And I love it. It’s perfect.”
Normally mum on her love life in recent years, Conrad took to Instagram to celebrate sweet milestones throughout her relationship with Tell, including their anniversary and his graduation from law school.
And as she captioned a photo of the couple last year, “Just looked at the calendar and realized it was a year and a half ago today that I met this guy And I sure am glad I did.”
