Larsa Pippen hit Art Basel week in Miami on Wednesday — stepping out at a public event for the first time since her husband, NBA legend Scottie Pippen, filed for divorce in October after 19 years of marriage.

The 42-year-old was at the DuJour Media Art Basel Party at the Confidante Hotel in Miami Beach, Florida, to support artist Mr. Brainwash.

A source tells PEOPLE that Larsa, who came with a friend as well as her brother, looked “absolutely gorgeous” in a form-fitting green mini dress, translucent heels, natural makeup and relaxed waves.

“She looked simply amazing,” says the partygoer.

Inside the soirée, Larsa hung out with friends David Grutman — the owner of nightclub LIV — and his wife Isabela, as well as Pastor Rich and Kim Kardashian West‘s BFF Jonathan Cheban, the onlooker reveals, adding that Larsa “seemed happy and relaxed.”

The event was initially intended to honor cover star Kris Jenner, but the reality matriarch canceled earlier in the week.

After the event, Larsa, the Grutmans and Cheban went to developer Craig Robbins’ home for a relaxed dinner, the insider tells PEOPLE.

The former Real Housewives of Miami star also documented some of the night on social media, sharing a photo of her posing with Cheban and The Hills alum Audrina Patridge.

In October, Scottie’s attorney said in a statement to PEOPLE that the athlete hoped “that the divorce will be swift and amicable.”

It was soon after revealed that the police were called twice in one week in early October to the former couple’s Fort Lauderdale home for domestic disturbances, PEOPLE confirmed.

TMZ later published voice recordings of Larsa’s calls to the police. In one, made Oct. 1, Larsa tearfully told the responder, “Can you send someone over here? My husband’s being really aggressive with me.”

The calls came just weeks before Scottie filed his petition. In response to their release, Scottie’s attorney said in a statement to PEOPLE, “While these recordings speak for themselves, Ms. Pippen did not make any allegations of physical violence by Mr. Pippen. Although Mr. and Ms. Pippen both have public personas, their divorce is a private matter. Mr. Pippen requests that the press respect his privacy and that of his family during this time.” (Larsa’s rep had no comment.)

Scottie and Larsa, who wed in 1997, have four children together.
