Lamar Odom is making his way back on social media.

The 35-year-old athlete made his online presence known once again with a new – and verified – Instagram account on Monday.

“Official account of Lamar Odom, the NBA Sixth Man of the Year in 2011 and 2009/2010 NBA champion with the Los Angeles Lakers,” read his page description along with a link to his forthcoming website.

On Wednesday, the star tried out his first throwback post with a news clipping from his high school playing days for his growing number of followers, currently over 90k.

So far he’s only following 5 people including former Los Angeles Lakers teammates Kobe Bryant and Derek Fisher.

But will he be keeping up with ex-wife ?

Odom has had a difficult year including his divorce from the 31-year-old E! reality star in July in addition to the deaths of his two childhood friends Jamie Sangouthai and Bobby Heywald.

“Lamar had a hard time letting go of Khloé,” a source told PEOPLE in August after he allegedly confronted and yelled at her outside a L.A. gym.

Kardashian and Odom wed in 2009 just one month after meeting. But after he relapsed with his substance abuse problems and cheated on her, she filed for divorce in December 2013.

Fast forward to the present, the exes keep in communication, with Kardashian frequently checking in on him, as seen in the current 10th season of Keeping Up with the Kardashians.

“Lamar and I loved each other deeply, and I don’t believe in just acting like that relationship never existed. Things happened, but that doesn’t just stop me from caring about him or loving him,” she said during the premiere episode.
