Lady Gaga Supports Kesha by Posting a Photo of the Pair Holding Hands in Solidarity
Gaga put it simply: "Free Kesha."
On Wednesday, Gaga, 29, shared an emotional photo of herself holding hands and embracing Kesha, 28, amid legal battles involving music producer Dr. Luke, whom Kesha alleges raped her.
Luke, 42, has vehemently denied the claims. “I didn’t rape Kesha and I have never had sex with her,” he wrote earlier this week on Twitter.
Gaga is among the many celebrities to stand by Kesha’s side. The "Til It Happens to You" singer previously tweeted on Feb. 19: “There are people all over the world who love you @KeshaRose. And I can say truly I am in awe of your bravery.”

Also on Wednesday, Kesha shared a lengthy post on Facebook thanking all her fans and supporters in addition to explaining why the case is so important to her.
“I can’t believe that so many people all over the world took the time to show me support and love. Other entertainers who knowingly put their own careers at stake by supporting me, I will be forever grateful,” the singer wrote.
“I think about young girls today – I don’t want my future daughter – or your daughter – or any person to be afraid that they will be punished if they speak out about being abused, especially if their abuser is in a position of power,” she added.
On Tuesday, a video of her June 2011 deposition leaked, which showed the singer saying the producer “never made sexual advances at me.” (Kesha’s lawyer Mark Geragos claimed in 2014 Luke “threatened to destroy Kesha’s life and the lives of her family if she didn’t cover up his sexual assaults” in the deposition).
A judge ordered documents be unsealed in 2014, shortly after Kesha sued Luke, alleging he drugged and raped her and subjected her to a decade of verbal and emotional abuse. Luke is countersuing for breach of contract and defamation.
