The Amazing Ladies Who Inspire the World's Most Beautiful Women
The head behind "The Rachel" and PEOPLE's pick for 2016's Most Beautiful doesn't find strength in just one astounding female; she is inspired by all of them.
"The women that inspire me are the ones who have careers and children; why would I want to limit myself? I've always wanted to have children, and I would never give up that experience for a career. I want to have it all," Aniston, 47, told Vanity Fair in 2005.
Underwood has always cited fellow country star Reba McEntire as an inspiration, and that comes down to the singer's touring style as well.
"Obviously, she changes wardrobes, and she's all about putting on a big show. In that way, you know, we definitely wanted to do that, as well," Underwood, 33, told GAC about how McEntire's 1990s shows continue to shape her tours today.
This means Palmer received some insider advice before starting BET talk show Just Keke: "She said I [should] just be myself – my natural personality. She said I was a natural at it."
When Viola Davis won her historic Emmy for How to Get Away with Murder it was a win for Good, too. Davis, a longtime inspiration for the Minority Report actress, called out Good's impressive work in her acceptance speech.
"Oh man, I cried because I’ve been doing this for so long and to be acknowledged by your peers, it just kind of blew my mind ..." Good told L.A. Confidential. "It's just been a really long road for me, so to be acknowledged by someone I respect so much really meant a lot to me."
Instagram's most popular person has one star she has been following since an early age.
"I have not only been following her career as a fan since I was 8 and now get to watch her completely transform in her new movie Cake, I have gotten to have real conversations with such a real heart, made my entire year,” Gomez recently gushed on Instagram about this year's Most Beautiful choice.
The singer is now a friend of the Friends star, meaning Gomez, 23, gets personal pep talks from Aniston.
"She's very cool and very sweet. She kind of gives me a lot of, like, maternal advice," Gomez said of their relationship.
Your inspiration doesn't have to be older than you. Milian said she is constantly pushed to conquer new things since becoming a mother to her daughter, Violet.
"It's like I see the world with new eyes: Not only is this my life to live, this is for my daughter,” Milian shared in her series Christina Milian Turned Up. "If you really go into it with the mentality that you can do it and this has all been placed into your life for a reason at this time, then, hey, you gotta go with it."
Vergara's Modern Family is inspired by a woman in her own family.
"When you do certain roles, you regularly draw inspiration from other people," Vergara said to El Herado. "In this case, I did so with my aunt – though she is not as tawdry, not as scandalous as how I embody her on the series."
This powerful force in Vergara's life has helped to make the star one of the most successful women on TV.
Tina Fey's memoir Bossypants wasn't just a laugh for Witherspoon, it was the start of a new goal.
"It was a very – she said, you know, if I can help one other woman create something in Hollywood, I've done my job," Witherspoon, 40, said about Fey and her book in a Fox News Sunday interview.
She added, "I hope to have that same goal, you know, just to create opportunities for other women to tell their stories, because women aren't just girlfriends and wives, you know, in movies, to big leading men. Those are great roles, but I feel like women are much more complex than that."
