La La Anthony Extends 'Support' and 'Love' to Best Friend Kim Kardashian Two Months After Paris Robbery
Anthony spoke to PEOPLE at Jingle Ball in New York on Friday evening
Anthony, 37, told PEOPLE on Friday evening at Jingle Ball in New York that Kardashian West, 36, is “doing well” in the wake of the robbery.
“She’s one of my best friends so, best friend rule. I’m not gonna say too much, but I support her, I love her and I’m always here for her no matter what,” the actress told PEOPLE about the Keeping Up with the Kardashians star.
She added, “I just support her as any friend would, but we’ve always been like that — it’s nothing new. She’s doing well, yeah.”
In the two months since Kardashian West was robbed of millions of dollars worth of jewelry in her No Address Hotel room during Paris Fashion Week, the mother of two has retreated from the spotlight, canceled all public appearances and refrained from posting on social media.
On Nov. 21, Kardashian West was scheduled to make her first public appearance since the Paris heist on Oct. 3, but she skipped the Angel Ball in New York City — her sisters Kourtney and Khloé Kardashian, and mother Kris Jenner all attended — that honored her late father Robert Kardashian Sr., to rush back to Los Angeles that evening to be by her husband Kanye West‘s side, who was hospitalized that day for exhaustion.
Though Kardashian West was a constant presence by her husband’s bedside while he remained hospitalized, an insider told PEOPLE she was “overwhelmed” by the situation and concerned about West’s relationship with their children, North, 3½, and Saint, who just turned 1.
But although the past two months have been a “tense time” for the couple, a source close to West denies that a split is imminent between the two. “This divorce stuff is completely false,” the insider told PEOPLE. “Kim does not have any plans to divorce Kanye. She’s told me it’s false. The picture that’s being painted is that she is planning on leaving him because of the robbery and this [hospitalization] incident.”
