The 29-year-old was cheering on her boyfriend, who was running in the marathon
“My daughter was the most lovable girl. She helped everybody, and I’m just so shocked right now. We’re just devastated,” her father, William A. Campbell Jr., told Yahoo! News.
Campbell, of Medford, Mass., was at the finish line to cheer on her boyfriend, who was running the race (it is currently unclear whether he was injured).
“She was a wonderful, wonderful girl,” adds her father. “Always willing to lend a hand.”
The first victim identified was 8-year-old Martin Richard, whose mother and sister were also injured.
According to numerous news outlets, more than 170 people were injured in the blasts, and three people have died. The third victim has not yet been identified.
