Kristy Swanson Files Counter-Assault Claim
The Skating with Celebrities star files claim against partner Lloyd Eisler's ex-wife
Skating with Celebrities star Kristy Swanson – arrested late Saturday night in Kingston, Ontario, for allegedly assaulting Marcia O’Brien, ex-wife of Swanson’s companion and former skating partner, Lloyd Eisler – has counter filed an assault claim against O’Brien, Swanson’s rep tells PEOPLE.
A Kingston police spokesman confirmed that Swanson filed her complaint on Sunday. A determination on whether O’Brien will be charged or arrested will take place by Tuesday morning.
According to Swanson’s press rep Michael Sands, “At 11 a.m. [ET] Kristy went back to the police station and filed charges against Marcia O’Brien.”
Swanson, 37, claims O’Brien attacked her in front of Eisler and O’Brien’s children. The altercation allegedly occurred when Swanson, Eisler, 44, and their 4-month old son, Magnus, arrived at O’Brien’s house on Saturday to pick up his two other sons, ages 3 and 1, for the Father’s Day weekend.
Eisler and O’Brien are engaged in a custody battle over the children, says Sands, adding, “A mediator was used to arrange a mutual third party’s house to return the boys on Sunday. It was the best way to protect the children, Kristy and Lloyd.”
Eisler, a former world champion pairs skater, met Swanson, best known for her role as Buffy in the 1992 feature film Buffy the Vampire Slayer, in 2006 while filming the FOX reality series Skating with Celebrities.
After the series ended the couple revealed their romance. Swanson denies that she broke up Eisler’s marriage. The two had a baby boy in February.
