Kristen Wiig and Fabrizio Moretti have decided to part ways after dating for over a year and a half.

A source confirms to PEOPLE that the pair have split but will remain on good terms. “It’s completely amicable,” says an insider. “They are friends.”

In July 2012, Wiig, 39, told Marie Claire that she was “happier than I’ve ever been” because of “where I am now. Who [Moretti] is.”

Although the Despicable Me 2 star is notoriously tight-lipped about her private life, she was married to actor Hayes Hargrove for four years before the couple called it quits in 2009. She then dated producer Brian Petsos, whom she had known for 21 years.

Strokes drummer Moretti, 33, famously dated Drew Barrymore and Kirsten Dunst before getting together with the SNL comedienne.

Barrymore once said her Whip It costar’s relationship with Moretti was wacky and incestuous since Wiig used to impersonate Barrymore on Saturday Night Live.
