Sandra Bland, the 28-year-old who died while in police custody, has caught everyone’s attention including Kim Kardashian West’s.

The Keeping Up With the Kardashians star offered her opinion on the Bland story in two tweets Thursday.

Kardashian West, 34, first tweeted “#WhatHappenedToSandraBland We need answers!!! This is NOT ok! This is all shady! They need to own up to this & tell the truth! – before adding an hour later: “#MassiveCoverUp #WhatHappenedToSandraBland”

Bland was stopped by police in Waller County, Texas July 10 for an improper lane change. Yesterday, The Texas Department of Public Safety released a dashcam video showing a hostile exchange between Bland and Trooper Brian Encinia who pulled her over.

Ten minutes into the video, Encinia is heard demanding her to get out of the car and threatening her with a taser, using phrases like “I will light you up.”

After the video circulated through social media, viewers began speculating that the video was edited. DPS spokesman Tom Vinger assured the public that the video was not edited.

“Yesterday’s video was not edited,” he said in a statement. “The entire video was uploaded Tuesday to include audio and video of the conversation the trooper had by telephone with his sergeant, which occurred after the arrest. Some of the video was affected in the upload. That technical issue has now been resolved.

An arrest warrant filed by Encinia states, “Bland became combative and uncooperative. ” Once she was handcuffed she ‘began swinging her elbows at me and then kicked my right leg in the shin. I had a pain in my right leg and suffered small cuts on my right hand.”

Bland was later charged with assault on a public servant. Three days later officials found her hanging in her jail cell with a plastic bag over her head. The death was ruled a suicide by the medical examiner. However, Bland’s family is adamant that she would not take her own life.

The Texas Rangers and the FBI are now investigating her death.

Kardashian West isn’t the only celebrity to comment on Bland’s arrest and death. Nicki Minaj also joined the conversation on Thursday, posting photos and video on her instagram.

Minaj captioned the photo of Bland’s mugshot, “If you haven’t looked into this story, please do. It’s the most disturbing thing going on right now. #SandraBland.” The rapper captioned a clip of the dashcam video, “Rest in Peace #SandraBland.”

Other stars to comment include actors Kerry Washington, Taraji P. Henson and Jussie Smollet; along with Selma director Ava DuVernay and singer August Alsina.
