Rob Kardashian may have sprung his relationship with Blac Chyna on his family, but Kim Kardashian West was determined to play by her own rules.

On Sunday’s episode of Keeping up with the Kardashians, the 35-year-old tells sisters Kourtney and Khloé Kardashian about a phone call in which Rob apparently tried to force Kardashian West to talk to his future fiancée – but the Webby Award winner wasn’t having it.

“He put me on speaker and then he was like, ‘Oh, Kim, Chyna’s in the room. I just wanted to tell you so you didn’t think I was alone,’ ” the mom of two reveals.

“So she goes, ‘Hi,’ in the background,” she continues, prompting gasps from her sisters.

Kardashian West says Rob then went to brush his teeth, leaving her and Chyna to talk.

“So I go, ‘Okay, gotta go. Bye.’ And I hung up,” she says.

Kardashian West, along with the rest of the family, has warmed up to the couple – Chyna, Rob and Kardashian West were spotted out together in Beverly Hills last month – but it wasn’t easy for Kardashian West to get used to the idea of her little sister Kylie Jenner dating Chyna’s ex-fiancé Tyga.

“I understand that Kylie dating Tyga completely broke Chyna’s heart,” Kardashian West acknowledges in the clip. “But I had no choice but to take my sister’s side. That’s my sister.”

She adds: “Do I think that everyone needs to sit down and talk and work it out? Absolutely.”

[BRIGHTCOVE “” “” “” “no” ]The storm following whirlwind romance between Rob and Chyna, who are expecting their first child, seems to have settled. Chyna even hung out with Jenner last month and declared the teen her “lil sis.”

A source previously told PEOPLE that Kardashian West “definitely” played a role in her little sister and former best friend‘s reconciliation.

“Just like Kim got together with Amber Rose earlier this year to stop the drama, she wants Kylie and Chyna to stop the nonsense.”

Jenner, 18, and Tyga, 26, broke up earlier this month after nearly two years of dating.

Tyga and Chyna have a 3-year-old son, King Cairo.
