Who run the world?

Well, there are a lot of powerful people out there, but there’s no denying Kim Kardashian West is feeling pretty successful right now. Not convinced of her business savvy? Here are seven times she was way more than a reality TV star.

1. She’s a “mobile mogul”

Kardashian West, 35, is featured on the cover of the latest issue of Forbes, in an article that highlights her accomplishments in the mobile world, including the launch of her game, website and app.

She shared a picture of the cover on Instagram, writing, “Such a tremendous honor to be on the cover of @forbes! I never dreamed this would happen and know my Dad would be so proud. #NotBadForAGirlWithNoTalent” – and yes, that hashtag is a lighthearted dig at the people who say the Kardashian family has, well, no talent.

In the article, Forbes reports that Kardashian West has personally “pocketed $45 million,” or about 40 percent of her most recent annual income, from Kim Kardashian: Hollywood, which the magazine says has taken in $160 million since its June 2014 launch.

Kardashian West tells the mag that she loved video games growing up, but did wonder if people would really mimic her life in her game. Considering users have joined her in everything from mermaid parties to filming reality shows, we can assume mimicking her life isn’t so bad.

“I realized this is really going to be the next cycle of my career and this is what I want to focus on,” she says, adding, “When people looked at me in a way like, ‘Why is she stepping into the tech world? That’s not her territory! Stick to reality TV!’ I was like, ‘No.’ This is fun for me. Now I’m coming up with Kimojis and the app and all these other ideas. I don’t see myself stopping.” Speaking of those Kimojis …

2. She’s cornered the emoji market, too

Kim Kardashian: Hollywood isn’t Kardashian West’s only foray into the tech space.

When her Kimoji app launched in December, the woman famous for “breaking the Internet” actually did it for real.

The app features a customized collection of emojis including more than 250 food-, beauty- and pop culture-related images that are apparently in such high demand, some users had issues downloading them when they first launched.

She told her followers, “We worked so hard on this app & we know there are some issues due to the massive downloads that the whole tech team is working on. My KIMOJI app will be up and running again soon! They are also working on fixing the search so u can easily find it!”

Luckily, users were eventually able to buy the app again – as well as upgrade to an update in June, which blessed us with some slightly NSFW options.

3. She’s an author

Kardashian West’s 352-page coffee-table book, Selfish, features some risqué shots of her famous body, as well as photos with big diamonds, a pregnant belly and her best friends – and it’s also a New York Times Bestseller.

The idea for the book was born during a Kardashian/Jenner vacation to Thailand. Kardashian West explained to her family how a selfie book would be a perfect gift for her man, Kanye West, and of course, it went on to become a perfect gift for the world.

4. Keeping Up with the Kardashians is still going strong

Kardashian West got her big start with Keeping Up With the Kardashians, and keep in mind that was in 2007 and we are now on season 12.

While at Re/code’s Code Mobile conference in 2014, she was asked, “Why do people not take you seriously given success after success?”

“You know, I don’t know,” she replied. “I think that is a question that sometimes I get frustrated with. I pride myself on my work ethic, and I work really hard.”

She continued, “I think that sometimes when people hear that I might have gotten success off of a reality show, they take that as a negative. We’re filming our tenth season right now and we’ve had nine seasons of spin-offs, so our show, we have more episodes than I Love Lucy.”

So, the show is kind of a big deal.

5. She knows how to manage her money

Kardashian West is definitely making a lot these days, but she still knows the value of a dollar.

In an interview with MarketWatch, she said her parents taught her about credit, how to balance a checkbook and how to save.

“I’m cheap about so many things. I look over everything. I would say I am pretty frugal,” Kardashian West admitted. “You know, I thought the more money I made, that I would spend more. And that’s the opposite. The more money that I make, the more I want to save.”

She even has some financial control over husband Kanye West, at least when it comes to big decisions like whether or not to build a basketball court in their home.

“I think we really respect each other’s opinions. We really talk things through. We really had to make the decision to wait on the basketball court,” she told MarketWatch. “We’re redoing our house right now so it’s not always like a free-for-all-budget.”

6. And she knows how to flaunt her money

We’ll never forget the Nude Selfie Controversy of 2016, in which plenty of celebs chimed in with their opinions on Kardashian West’s naked photo.

Her initial response to the Tweet-storm?

Now that’s how you get people to leave you alone.

7. There’s more to come

Kardashian West’s career began with nightclub appearances, but now she’s involved with way, way more. This includes the Kardashian Beauty collection, a clothing line at Babies “R” Us, her family’s DASH boutiques – and she’s just getting started.

Keeping Up with the Kardashians airs Sundays (9 p.m. ET) on E!
