It’s not just an older-woman-younger-man kind of thing. “It was weird when we met,” Kid Rock, 30, said of his new love, Pamela Anderson, 34. “I was thinking, ‘Wow, here’s someone who kinda thinks like I do. Let’s go out and have a great (expletive) time and party like animals. But there’s a time and a place for that, and a time and a place for family,’ ” the singer told Spin magazine for its December issue. “No one will ever see us hanging out with the kids and barbecuing all day. You only get what’s flashy. It’s understandable.” Rock, whose real name is Bob Ritchie, met the “V.I.P.” star backstage at April’s “VH1 Divas” concert, where he performed with Aretha Franklin. He says that he and the former “Baywatch” babe — and the former Mrs. Tommy Lee — mostly talked about their kids, his 8-year-old and her 3- and 5-year-olds with Lee. Describing their leisure time together, Kid Rock said, “We go tubing on this river in northern Michigan, . . . just floating down the river in a tube, drinking some Cristal and a Budweiser.”
