Khloé Kardashian is receiving “lots of love” while under treatment for her staph infection and expects to be better “very soon,” she tweeted Saturday.

She said that the “staph infection is no joke,” and that hers was “exacerbated by stress which is not a great combo” – but, “I’m under great medical care.”

“Please everyone take care of yourselves and pay attention to your bodies!!” she continued in a second tweet. “Be kind and loving to one another! It goes a long way!!”

Lastly, she thanked everyone for their support, tweeting with three heart emoji, “I appreciate all of your prayers, well wishes and love being sent my way. I’ll be better very soon. I love you guys.”

The reality star, 31, canceled signings of her book Strong Looks Better Naked on Wednesday, tweeting to her fans then: “I’m sick &dr’s orders are that I need to lay low until we narrow down what’s wrong.”

PEOPLE confirmed Kardashian’s diagnosis last week. A source previously said that she was infected while at the bedside of her estranged husband, Lamar Odom, during his ongoing recovery from an October health crisis.

“She just needs some medication and some rest and she will be fine,” a source told PEOPLE at the time. “She’s under a doctor’s care and they are happy with how she is progressing.”

Odom, 36, is being treated at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center, in Los Angeles, after being transferred from Las Vegas when he awoke from a four-day coma.

Given her condition, Kardashian is unable to visit Odom in the hospital – and understandably upset, a second source told PEOPLE last week.

“She is so frustrated by the fact that she was doing something good,” the source said, “and then THIS happens.”
