While Britney Spears and Kevin Federline are busy readying their reality show, Federline’s ex-girlfriend has lined up a few new gigs of her own, PEOPLE has learned.

Shar Jackson – who has two kids with Federline, Kori, 2, and Kaleb, 9 months – has just inked a record deal with Los Angeles-based indie label Long Live Crime Records and will be releasing a single this summer called “You Make Me Feel Good,” a source close to Jackson tells PEOPLE.

Jackson, 28, who starred on the television show, Moesha, is also busy shooting a “women-empowering” network reality pilot with Marla Maples (Donald Trump’s ex-wife) about women who have been through difficult break-ups, the source says.

Spears and Federline’s UPN reality show about their courtship, engagement and wedding will debut at 9 p.m. on May 17.

In addition to her other projects, Jackson is starting her own cosmetics line called RelationLips. The name of the first lip gloss: “He Cheated.”
