Sure, Barack Obama has Oprah Winfrey. But he’s not the only presidential hopeful calling in the star power.

Fellow Democrat John Edwards announced Sunday that Kevin Bacon and Tim Robbins will join him on the campaign trail in Iowa this week.

As an incentive for supporters to tell their undecided friends and family about Edwards – the former senator from North Carolina who served as John Kerry’s running mate in 2004 – the campaign is also offering memorabilia signed the two Mystic River costars.

And they’re not his only celeb fans. Last week, 24‘s Jean Smart and The Last of the Mohicans‘s Madeleine Stowe opened a campaign office for Edwards in Newton, Iowa.

As primary season heats up, stars are flocking to the Hawkeye State. On Saturday, Winfrey praised Obama to a crowd of thousands. And former President Bill Clinton is scheduled to return to Iowa today and tomorrow to campaign for his wife, Senator Hillary Rodham Clinton.
