Kesha Puts Pen to Paper Amid Dr. Luke Legal Battle: 'I've Been Writing All Day'
On March 19, Kesha appealed a judge's dismissal of her request to record music without Dr. Luke
The singer posted a selfie on Instagram Wednesday hinting to fans that she’s been working on new material.
“Been writing all day,” Kesha, 29, wrote.
At a February hearing, a New York Supreme Court judge shut down Kesha’s request for a preliminary injunction that would allow her to record music outside of her contracts with Sony and Dr. Luke. The music producer has vehemently denied Kesha’s allegations of “verbal and emotional” abuse.
Recently on March 19, the singer/songwriter’s legal team filed an appeal to the New York Supreme Court regarding Justice Shirley Kornreich’s dismissal of Kesha’s preliminary injunction request.
This isn’t the first time Kesha has let fans know she’s been putting pen to paper. “Can’t sleep. just up all day all night writing. my mind is possessed. I have so much to say right now,” she shared on Instagram shortly following her February hearing.
