In the year since a cheating scandal rocked Kendra Wilkinson and Hank Baskett‘s marriage, the star has moved on – and she wants fans to, as well.

“This is the love of my life,” Wilkinson wrote on Instagram Saturday, sharing a photo of the couple. “A true man.”

The former Girls Next Door star, 30, opted to work through her issues with Baskett after his 2014 affair.

“I believe in forgiveness and I believe in him,” she continued, Saturday. “I take my vows very serious and won’t let people’s beliefs get in my way of what I know. Everyone that truly knows @hank_baskett knows the truth and everyone who’s doesn’t creates their own ideas n that’s ok but don’t F— with me and what I love and stand for.”

The couple joined the most recent season of Marriage Boot Camp: Reality Stars to help work through their marriage issues. Baskett owned up to his transgression on the show, which Wilkinson told PEOPLE helped her find “the trust again.”

Wilkinson isn’t just going to stand by and let haters take down her man, however.

“Love the support but all the other 2 cents can kiss me a–,” she wrote on the Instagram image.

Wilkinson said that the couple, who share two children, Hank IV, 5, and Alijah, 14 months, are now “in the best place.”

“We’re a happy family,” she told PEOPLE of life with Baskett and their children. “One day, they’re going to know that we went through some struggles, but they’re going to be proud of us for sticking through those struggles, right? That’s all that matters.”

Wilkinson also said that the relationship ordeal has impacted her understanding of forgiveness overall.

“I feel very special entering my thirties now knowing the true definition of forgiveness,” she said. “Never knew what forgiveness meant until now, and I think that’s the most powerful feeling that I’ve ever felt in my life.”
