A Monaco judge banned the actress from bringing her children outside of Monaco and France
After Kelly Rutherford faced yet another crushing legal defeat, which banned the actress from taking her children outside of Monaco and France, the former Gossip Girl star has gone to social media to voice her frustration.
Rutherford, 41, posted on a shot of word art on Instagram Wednesday that reads: “Dear world – we can do better and we will. That’s All. And that’s everything.”
Rutherford also tagged poet/artist Cleo Wade in the post, which features emojis for praying hands and a heart.
The Monaco court’s decision is the latest development in a grueling, six-year custody battle against Rutherford’s ex-husband, Daniel Giersch, with whom children Hermes, 9, and Helena, 6, have been living in Monaco and France since 2012. (The decision to grant the 47-year-old German businessman primary custody of the children was upheld by courts in both California and New York state this year.)
Amid first reports of the court decision on Tuesday, Rutherford also posted another pointed Instagram on Tuesday: “Choose and direct yourself to be peaceful inside regardless of what’s happening outside.”
“This whole time, what I’ve had to do is take an overall situation that’s so bizarre and try to keep my kids healthy. I have to keep knowing if I’m okay, they’re going to be okay. I don’t want them to be fearful,” she told PEOPLE exclusively in August. “My children ask me all the time if I am still fighting for them …. I always tell them the day will never come when I say no.”
