Kelly Osbourne has paid a heartfelt tribute to Joan Rivers on the anniversary of her death.

Taking to her Instagram account on Friday, the former Fashion Police host wrote: “Thank you for teaching me to stay true to myself & that if you don’t laugh there is no point in doing anything! I miss you I love you @joanrivers”

The trail-blazing comedienne died on Sept. 4, 2014, just a week after she stopped breathing during a routine surgical procedure on her vocal chords.

Osbourne’s tribute comes after Melissa Rivers released her own statement through Joan’s official Twitter account.

“Today marks one year since my mother passed,” Melissa, 47, said. “This was a year of firsts: first holidays, first birthdays, first every things without mom, without grandma. While it’s been difficult, I’ve been amazed by the outpouring of love and overwhelming kindness we’ve received from family, friends and people whose lives were touched by the woman they knew as Joan a woman we all miss very much.”

In February this year, Osbourne quit Fashion Police amid a tidal wave of controversy following an ill-advised joke about Zendaya’s hair that was said by Giuliana Rancic.

However, there are no hard feelings between Osbourne and executive producer Melissa, after the pair exchanged messages about the return of the show earlier this week.
