After their public clash over the summer, Kelly Clarkson and Clive Davis appear to be back on good terms – at least if this photo is any evidence.

The BMG chairman visited the American Idol champ and Grammy winner backstage at the sold-out opening night of her tour at New York’s Beacon Theater Sunday. The fall road trip marked Clarkson’s return to the stage after a bumpy summer that included the cancellation of her first tour, and her war of words with Davis. She later extended an olive branch to the music mogul in July, saying, “I’m well aware that Clive is one of the great record men of all time.”

Clarkson’s tour, meanwhile, will continue through 25 cities, including Los Angeles, Dallas, Boston and Nashville.
