While the neon spectacle is not an entirely accurate account of ancient Egypt (See: the Twinkie pyramid, krumping cat-people, cameos from Flamin’ Hot Cheetos and Jiff the Pomeranian, etc.), it sure was 3 minutes and 46 seconds of pop fun. And it turns out the ladies ruled YouTube this year: Eight of the top 10 most-viewed videos were by women, including Nicki Minaj, Meghan Trainor and Iggy Azalea. 2014 was kind to Perry, 30: She was also was named one of Spotify’s most-streamed artists, in addition to Ed Sheeran and Ariana Grande, among others. But 2015 is shaping up to be even better. The singer will take the stage at the Super Bowl in February, in what many are expecting will be a dazzling performance.
