Katy Perry and Russell Brand Both Not Wearing Wedding Rings

After previous denials, the pair remain silent about reports of marital problems

Katy Perry was spotted in Hawaii before Christmas without her wedding ring, which could be explained by the fact she was jumping around in the surf.

But then husband Russell Brand stepped out on a London street Thursday, also without his wedding band.

Now, a drumbeat of rumors about marital woes has grown only louder in the United States and the U.K. amid reports the couple spent the holidays apart. Their usually active Twitter pages have been silent on the issue, and their reps have not commented.

Perry, 27, and Brand, 36, who were wed in October 2010 in India, laughed off reports of problems earlier this month, with Brand telling Ellen DeGeneres, “I am really happily married.”
