Russell Brand: Regretting Divorce from Katy Perry?

The comedian reportedly reached out to his ex-wife in an e-mail

Russell Brand is reportedly regretting his divorce from Katy Perry.

After seeing a picture of Perry kissing her new boyfriend, Florence & the Machine guitarist Robert Ackroyd, Brand allegedly sent his ex-wife an e-mail calling their split a “mistake.”

“Word has it Russell was ‘seething with jealousy’ when he saw pictures of her with Rob,” a source told the UK’s Grazia magazine, which first reported the news.

“He apparently feels he gave up on their relationship too easily,” the source added.

At a stand-up performance over the weekend, Brand, 36, also confronted an audience member who kept shouting Perry’s name, according to ABC News.

What an enormous echo of nothingness from you,” Brand reportedly told the heckler. “I think silence is your friend. I think keep your lips firmly, firmly clamped together, because everything that comes out of your mouth, from your idiotic announcements to your disgusting halitosis which is cutting through this room is an abomination.

Brand filed for divorce in December after marrying Perry, 27, in 2010.

In March, he denied reports that he had had a tattoo of Perry removed.
