Katherine Jackson – mother of Michael and Janet Jackson – has been reported missing, according to the L.A. County Sheriff’s Department.

According to a report filed by her nephew Trent late Saturday night, Jackson had not been heard from in a week. Paris Jackson confirmed the report via Twitter, writing: “yes, my grandmother is missing. i haven’t spoken with her in a week i want her home now.”

But her son, Jermaine Jackson, seemed to deny the missing person report, Tweeting Friday: “I want to reassure everyone (inc all sudden medical experts) that Mother is fine but is resting up in AZ on the order of a doctor, not us.”

“This is our mother and her health is paramount,” he added. “We are not inventing or plotting anything. We are following doctor’s advice. Period.”

Trent Jackson’s missing persons report follows a letter released Wednesday in which five of Katherine Jackson’s children – including Jermaine and Janet Jackson – attacked Michael Jackson’s estate managers for taking advantage of Katherine, 82.

The police suspect no foul play in Katherine Jackson’s missing persons case, but an insider tells PEOPLE, “It’s a house divided.”
