Yikes, Yeezy.

Kanye West posted a tweet on Saturday and received mixed reactions from his followers. In the post, the 39-year-old rapper and designer attached a photo with casting call information for his Yeezy Season 4 fashion show. The message said, “Multiracial women only … No makeup please come as you are.”

And while some were eager to participate, providing information about their multiracial background, others wished they fit West’s vision. One user wrote, “@kanyewest how do I become a multiracial woman?”

Though there was some excitement and positivity about West’s casting call, many questioned the implications of “multiracial women only.” For several responders, there seemed to be a correlation between multiracial and “dark” or “light”-skinned individuals.

West’s ex-girlfriend Amber Rose and wife Kim Kardashian West were thrown into the flurry of tweets in response to the casting request.

One Twitter user simply asked, “…so no black women??”

And another considered the complications involved in West’s request.

But most people had few words for West, replying with memes expressing their reaction to the inevitable backlash of his post.

In one meme, a woman said, “Honey, you’ve got a big storm comin’.”

President Barack Obama was even included in one of the reaction GIFs.

But some users were left offended and unamused, with one posting the message, “im unfollowing you right now youre not funny anymore bye.”

Yeezy Season 4 is set to premiere this Wednesday to kick off New York Fashion Week.

West will also be in the Big Apple in the days leading up to Fashion Week, as he has Madison Square Garden shows scheduled for Monday and Tuesday in New York City.
