He’s wooed women from Britney Spears to Jessica Biel, but Justin Timberlake won’t be adding “dating guru” to his rapidly expanding resumé any time soon.

“I should not give anybody love advice,” the newly single singer-actor, 30, who announced his split from Biel in March, told PEOPLE at Monday’s Friends with Benefits premiere in New York. “Yeah, listen to a single male – yeah, that will work out.”

Expertise aside, Timberlake says he is dating again. His latest contender? Cpl. Kelsey De Santis, who asked him via YouTube to accompany her to the Marine Corps Ball in Washington, D.C.

Timberlake said he has yet to meet or even speak with his date, but he is committed to attending the Nov. 12 dance. “I’m still trying to work out my schedule to make it happen for her, but I was flattered,” he says. “And honestly, I will do everything I can to make it.”

Another marine also publicly courted Timberlake’s costar, Mila Kunis, 27, to attend the event in Greenville, N.C. – and she plans on accompanying Sgt. Scott Moore.

As child stars, both Kunis and Timberlake missed an important high-school event, so Kunis is especially delighted to go to this formal dance.

“I didn’t go [to my high-school prom]. I went to a semiformal that wasn’t at my school,” she said. “So I’m definitely excited.”
