Justin Timberlake is rooting for the Green Bay Packers to win Sunday’s Super Bowl XLV, and not only because he knows and admires the team’s quarterback, Aaron Rodgers.

“I have friends that are Packer fans that would decapitate me if I did not root for the Packers,” Timberlake, who just turned 30, joked at Friday night’s Audi Forum Dallas pre-Super Bowl cocktail party. “Go Pack!”

On his friendship with Rodgers, Timberlake said: “Aaron had big shoes to fill following Brett [Favre]. He has style and class and he’s a great guy.”

Bundled up against the ice and snow, Timberlake shook his head. “It is cold,” he said. “This is not Dallas weather.”

Not that this deterred his celebrating: Timberlake also chatted up New York Giants owner John Mara and Dallas Cowboys quarterback Tony Romo – who was there with his fiancé, Candice Crawford, and her brother, Chace Crawford.

Then Timberlake headed on to other parties around town, including the exclusive bash at luxury hotel The Joule that kept Glee‘s Matthew Morrison and Brothers and Sisters star Dave Annable, among others, partying until nearly 4 a.m.
