Watch Justin Bieber Become a Work of Art in His Latest Video
"Justin wrote this record during a tough time in his life," DJ duo Jack Ü says of "Where Are Ü Now"
Justin Bieber is back with his first music video in over a year – and it was worth the wait.
“Where Are Ü Now,” the latest collaboration from DJ duo Jack Ü (a.k.a. superstars Skrillex and Diplo) follows Bieber as his body becomes a canvas for constantly changing drawings and graffiti created by artists and fans in a Los Angeles gallery.
By layering the individual painted frames together, 21-year-old Bieber appears to dance through the final product, at one point almost completely covered in dripping paint.
“Justin wrote this record during a tough time in his life and it comes to us that sometimes, as artists, we are also just objects and we have to take that as much as we have to use that to create,” Jack Ü said in a statement on their YouTube page, reportedly referring to his breakup with Selena Gomez. “We all do this for you, respect that you put us here and it’s Ü that made the video.
