VIDEO: Justin Bieber Surprises Indiana Bar by Playing the Drums with a Local Cover Band
The bar ended up having to call the police for extra security during Justin Bieber's visit
Patrons at an Indiana bar got a special treat on Friday when Justin Bieber played a drum set at The Venue, a popular bar and music spot in Angola.
The 21-year-old joined Bonafide, the cover band scheduled to play, on stage, taking a turn on the drums and posing for photos with the astonished band members.
“He came up and asked if he could play them,” one band member, Heidi Herber, told WANE.
She added: “He just looked like a normal kid in the bar, except for the hat and hoodie. We had no idea [he was going to be there], in fact, he was one of the first people in bar.”
Bieber was just playing an arcade game when someone finally recognized him. That’s when things descended into utter chaos.
“It was a social media frenzy. The phones started to come out,” Herber said. “Social media is extremely powerful.”
The bar ended up having to call the police for extra security.
But it was good news for Bonafide, who saw their biggest turnout yet and ended up thanking Bieber for bringing all the people into the bar.
According to reports, Bieber was in the area visiting a friend.
Bieber’s new album will be released on Nov. 13.
