Attention Beliebers and Directioner: Today’s PEOPLE Snapchat Discover is dedicated to our favorite guys in honor of their new albums dropping on the same day (where’s our chill?). Head over to PEOPLE’s Discover page on Snapchat to see today’s edition – and check back every day for all things celebrity/shirtless guys/everything in between.

Forget catchy singles and perfectly choreographed dance moves – when it comes down to it, pop domination is nothing but a numbers game.

As both One Direction and Justin Bieber compete to have the biggest album of the year (or, at least until Adele releases 25), we’re taking a look back at their careers up until this moment, when they both release their new albums, Made in the A.M. and Purpose.

(Because the only thing more exciting than your favorite artist releasing new music is reading up on cold, hard facts, of course.)

Net Worth:
According to The Richest, the Biebs is estimated to be worth a whopping $200 million, thanks to a combination of album sales, product lines (remember his OPI nail polish collection?) and endorsements like his infamous Calvin Klein campaign. One Direction, meanwhile, have racked up an impressive $130 million, according to Forbes – meaning they made more money this year than their idols, the Rolling Stones.

Movie Grosses:
One Direction’s 2013 3-D concert film, This Is Us, was one of the biggest movies of the year, and earned more than $67 million worldwide, officially making it the fourth highest grossing concert movie of all time. However, Bieber has them beat thanks to his two films, 2011’s Never Say Never, which made more than $98 million worldwide, and his 2013 sequel, Justin Bieber’s Believe, which brought in an additional $6 million.

Twitter Followers:
Forget a social media account – Bieber has built a social media empire thanks to his 69.4 million Twitter followers. Still, his army of Beliebers is no match for the guys of One Direction, who have amassed an astounding 117 million followers through their five accounts (one for the band, and one for each of the four members). So, if we’ve learned nothing else, it’s that quantity is the key to becoming a social media superstar.

Instagram Followers:
Again, when it comes to the sheer number of followers, Bieber’s 43.4 million don’t hold a candle to the 51.5 million Directioners waiting to double tap, comment and share every photo that the boys post on their group or individual accounts.

YouTube Views:
In perhaps the closest race of all, Bieber just edges out the competition with a total of 3.75 billion YouTube views over the course of his career. However, One Direction might be looking to close the gap, as their fans have watched their videos 3.3 billion times as of March 2015. In other words, Directioners and Beliebers: get those fingers ready to hit the refresh button over and over and over

Album Sales:
We know they’re both major international phenomena, but we’re only looking at U.S. album sales for this one (otherwise, the numbers are just a little too insane for our brains to process). Since his debut with My World 2.0, Bieber has sold 5.9 million albums in the U.S., going platinum three times. My World 2.0 even went triple platinum. One Direction, meanwhile, has sold 6.6 million albums and earned two double platinum records (Up All Night and Take Me Home), and two platinum records (Midnight Memories and Four).

Highest Grossing Tour:
It goes without saying that both Bieber and One Direction know how to sell out an arena. Bieber’s highest grossing tour – his 2012 Believe tour – raked in more than $200 million, making it one of the most successful tours of all time. However, One Direction actually set a record with their Where We Are tour in 2014, which became the highest grossing band tour of all time with a mind-blowing $290 million, meaning they really earned their upcoming hiatus.

No. 1 Albums:
All four of One Direction’s albums have debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard charts (what, like you were surprised?). But Bieber’s had an impressive five of his eight albums (including remixes, reissues and acoustic albums) top the charts, making him the only artist to have earned five No. 1s before the age of 19.

Awards Won:
We hope they all have plenty of shelf space in their homes! Over the course of his career, Bieber has won 41 major awards, including seven AMAs, 12 Billboard Music Awards, 18 MTV EMAs, two VMAs and one MTV Movie Award. Plus, he’s also got two Grammy nominations. One Direction, meanwhile, has rounded up an impressive 32 major awards, including five AMAs, five Billboard Music Awards, five BRITs, 13 MTV EMAs and four VMAs. Where do they even put them all?
